A 33-year-old convicted felon who pawned a stolen firearm at an Orlando pawnshop has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.

On Friday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced that Ya Hance Pierre Boston will spend 15 years behind bars for possession of a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon.

Boston previously pleaded guilty to the federal charge in March 2026.

According to court records, Boston entered an Orlando pawnshop on December 30, 2024, with a 9mm Glock G43 pistol concealed inside his sweater.

Upon reaching the clerk’s counter, Boston reportedly provided his identification, signed the pawnshop’s form, and left an inked thumbprint before handing over the pistol. Investigators later discovered that the pawned firearm had previously been stolen from a vehicle in Apopka.

Due to his extensive criminal history, which includes multiple prior felony convictions, Boston is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under federal law.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case with assistance from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and it was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon Cruz.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office stated that Boston must fully complete his ongoing state sentence before he begins serving his 15-year federal term.
