Three suspects have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a shooting at an Orlando apartment complex on Thursday afternoon.
Orlando Police Department officers responded to the 2000 block of Orange Center Boulevard at around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, after receiving reports of a shooting incident at the Pendana at West Lakes Club Apartments, according to the agency.
During the initial investigation, officers reportedly obtained video surveillance footage showing the occupants of a black sedan and a black SUV firing multiple rounds at two victims who were riding scooters within the apartment complex.

No injuries were reported, and “all involved parties” fled from the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

While searching the North Pine Hills area, Orlando police quickly located the sedan and SUV that were allegedly connected to the shooting incident.
According to OPD, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office assisted with conducting a traffic stop on the sedan, and two suspects were taken into custody without further incident. Officers also attempted to pull over the SUV, but its driver refused to stop, leading to a high-speed pursuit.

Orlando police stated that an OCSO helicopter maintained visual contact with the SUV as it fled into Seminole County. The chase concluded when the driver parked in front of a Burlington Coat Factory in Altamonte Springs, abandoned the vehicle, and fled on foot before being quickly apprehended by officers.

“All three suspects involved in the shooting were apprehended,” said OPD in a media release. Those suspects were identified as 20-year-old Jacorey Lowery, 18-year-old Quincy Desponosse, and 17-year-old Semaj Blackshear.
The agency added that investigators have determined that none of the suspects reside at the apartment complex where the shooting occurred.
OPD stated that Lowery is facing charges of attempted felony murder with a firearm and discharging a firearm at a residential property. Desponosse is being charged with principal to attempted first-degree murder, and Blackshear is facing the following charges: principal to attempted felony murder with a firearm, fleeing and eluding law enforcement at high speed with disregard for public safety or property, resisting an officer without violence, and violation of probation (juvenile).
No further details were released by Orlando police as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
