Workspace Collective opening new shared workspace in Sanford

A company that specializes in providing shared workspaces is expanding into Sanford.

Workspace Collective, which currently operates two locations in Ocala and one in Daytona Beach, will expand its operations into Historic Downtown Sanford.

The company is currently renovating a 5,643 square-foot building located at 311 E. 1st Street, at the corner of 1st Street and Sanford Avenue.

Built in 1914, the 100+ year-old building will undergo a complete renovation in the style of the company’s other modern-rustic looks.

Upon completion, the group hopes to offer around 7,000 square-feet of office space and amenities, as well as a 1,500 square-foot rooftop for business gatherings and social events.

“We look forward to the day when we will be welcoming new members in our fourth location, and also being a part of the vibrant business community of Downtown Sanford,” reads a statement from the company.

Workspace Collective opened its first Ocala location in June 2021 and followed it up six months later with a second location in the city, which is around an hour and a half north of Orlando.
