Motorcyclist killed after SUV turns in path on OBT

A 34-year-old Kissimmee man was killed after an SUV turned in front of his motorcycle on Orange Blossom Trail early Sunday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the fatal accident on January 22 at around 1:47 a.m., according to a report from law enforcement authorities.

A 38-year-old Kissimmee man was driving a 2013 Ford Edge southbound on Orange Blossom Trail, approaching its intersection with Michigan Avenue in the left turn lane.

The driver attempted to make a left turn to travel eastbound on Michigan Street when the vehicle entered the path of a 2020 Honda CBR600 being driven by the 34-year-old Kissimmee man.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured and remained on the scene.
