Apopka man found dead from gunfire near baptist church

A 36-year-old man was found dead from gunfire near a baptist church in Apopka on Monday.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the intersection of 10th Street and Central Avenue on Monday, January 30 after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located the body of Travis Rashard Grubbs, who had been shot. Grubbs was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is active and ongoing, and authorities have not released any additional information.
