Orlando man arrested for paying teenagers for sex

A 43-year-old Orlando man was arrested on Wednesday on charges that he paid a two girls, ages 15 and 16, for sex.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Brian T. Richman at his home on Calloway Drive in Orlando on Wednesday, February 1 on multiple counts of sexual abuse of a child.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit, two victims, ages 15 and 16, reported cases of sexual assault to the police in July. The victims both communicated with Richman via text or social media messengers about engaging in sex in exchange for money.

Richman urged one of the victims to perform sexual acts on camera so that he could post the video online to make money.

Through interviews, video surveillance footage, license plate reader technology and other investigative means, detectives determined that Richman traveled to Volusia County to meet with the victims and committed the acts described by both girls.

According to police, Richman was previously arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in 2017 as part of an undercover prostitution sting.

Richman is facing a bevy of charges that include three counts of traveling to meet a minor, two counts of lewd or lascivious battery on a victim between 12 and 16 years old, and unlawful sexual activity with a minor, among multiple others. He is currently being held at the Orange County Jail on $275,000 bond, according to court records.
