Police looking for suspects after man shot, killed in Apopka

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are looking for suspects involved in a shooting that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man in Apopka.

Police were called to the 1000 block of South Central Avenue in Apopka on Friday, January 14, around 1:23 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the victim, Steven Jackson, was located on the scene and transported to a local hospital. Jackson later died from the injuries he sustained during the shooting.

Detectives are currently looking for suspects in the case and have not released any further information regarding the case.
