Fatal bus accident on SR-417 claims man’s life, three others sent to hospital

An accident that took place this morning along State Road 417 claimed the life of one man and left three others needing medical attention.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place on the tollroad near mile marker 6 on Tuesday morning at around 5:50 a.m.

The bus did not have any passengers, but the vehicle was transporting a man, a woman, and two children. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the women and two children were transported to a local hospital.

As of 7 a.m., the southbound lanes on SR-417 were shut down at John Young Parkway and drivers were being rerouted.
