5-year-old hit by car near Kissimmee police headquarters

A 5-year-old child was struck by a vehicle near the Kissimmee Police Headquarters on Tuesday.

The incident took place near the intersection of Broadway and Stewart Avenue in Kissimmee on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Kissimmee Police Department Public Safety Officer Samantha Scarp, a 5-year-old child was hit by a vehicle near that intersection and was transported to the hospital for “precautionary medical purposes.”

All roadways stayed open after the incident, and no information was given on the status of the child.
