Jaime Gregorio Tuazon

Jaime Gregorio Tuazon was born September 30, 1941 in Malabon, Philippines to Pacifico and Pilar Tuazon.

He attended St. James Catholic School until he enrolled in the University of Santo Tomas for a degree in medicine.He was a rotating intern at Colombia hospital, an anesthesia resident at Mercy Hospital 1966 -1967, and a 1 year pediatric anesthesia fellow 1968-69 Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh. He then moved Gainesville to be a fellow in Anesthesiology & Pulmonary medicine and eventually settled in Orlando and worked at Florida Hospital for 25 years until his retirement in 1998.

Jaime married Sylvia Gonzales in 1969 and had three children, Michael David, Melissa Ann, and Nichole Agnes.He was a hard working, generous, and fun-loving man who loved to crack jokes, had a contagious, hearty laugh & loved a bargain. He was a foodie who enjoyed cooking, great wine, fishing, cruise vacations & playing craps or blackjack and his weekly mahjong games with his closest friends.But what Jaime cherished the most, was spending time with his wife, children, his son-in-law, Justin, and daughter-in-law, Sasha, and his grandchildren, Sienna and Liam.

He was the true definition of the “American Dream.” And he instilled this belief of being able to accomplish anything in life with grit and hard work to all those lives he touched.

Jaime was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in February of 2019 and finally lost his battle with cancer on April 10, 2023 surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Funeral Mass will be held April 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (ET). At Annunciation Catholic Church. 1020 Montgomery Rd.. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
