Click It or Ticket campaign enforcement begins next week

The Click It or Ticket national campaign will begin its enforcement period over the coming weeks.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will over see Click it or Ticket from Monday, May 23, through Sunday, June 5. For nearly 20 years, the campaign has helped increase awareness and safety belt usage through enforcement, far-reaching paid media messages, and localized media efforts, according to the NHTSA.

“The [campaign] is a proven and effective way to save lives across the United States. Something powerful happens when law enforcement nationwide joins together to crack down on tough highway safety issues: we save lives,” reads a website post from the NHTSA.

All local agencies through Orange County, Orlando, and the rest of Central Florida will enforce the campaign readily starting on Monday. For more information, visit the Florida Department of Transportation Click It or Ticket webpage.
