Volusia woman claims $1 million from scratch-off

A 41-year-old woman from Volusia County claimed a $1 million scratch-off prize from Florida Lottery headquarters last week.

On Thursday, May 11, lottery officials announced that Tracie Pratt, of Ormond Beach, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Pratt chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.

Pratt purchased her winning ticket from the Speedway located at 1102 West Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The 500X THE CASH is a $50 scratch-off game that features a top prize of $25 million. It is the largest scratch-off prize ever offered in the state of Florida. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.5.
