Wilma Jean Land

Wilma Land was born Wilma Jean Wilkes August 23, 1929 on a farm near Lyons, Georgia in Toombs County. Wilma was born to Mattie Frances Curl and Alexander Wilkes.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Alva Downing, her brother-in-law Lawrence Downing, her son Charles Wooten and her nephew Lawrence Downing. She is survived by her son, Gregory Wooten and his wife Karen; her daughter Linda Reichard and her husband Tom; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Joshua Knight; one great grandson Isa Ari; once niece Karen Grob and her husband Fredy and two nephews; Kenneth Downing and his wife Pamela; and David Downing and his wife Sandy.

Wilma Graduated from Forest Lake Academy in May 1946; attended Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University) for two years.

Wilma died in Altamonte Springs, Florida on May 17, 2022.
