Suspect tied to second bank robbery in Altamonte Springs

A suspect who was arrested by the FBI last week for robbing a bank in east Orlando has been connected to a similar robbery that took place at an Altamonte Springs bank just days before.

On Tuesday, Altamonte Springs Police Department reported that 24-year-old Keelan M. Anderson was a suspect in multiple robberies perpetrated within city limits.

Anderson was taken into custody on Friday, June 16, in connection with a bank robbery that was reported inside the TD Bank located at 1701 South Semoran Boulevard. During that incident, witnesses told police that a suspect wearing a black mask and all-black clothing entered the bank, presented a note to the teller, and left with cash.

Anderson was later found inside a vehicle in the area of State Road 408 and Old Winter Garden Road.

Altamonte Springs police also believe Anderson was behind a robbery at the Regions Bank located at 360 W. State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs. During that robbery on June 13, Anderson was allegedly dressed in nearly identical clothing.

Police in Altamonte Springs also believe that Anderson is responsible for another bank robbery that happened at a local Truist Bank on May 17.

In both of the aforementioned cases, the suspect implied he had a gun and a bomb before presenting a note and demanding money.

As of Tuesday, police had issued one arrest warrant and were working on a second. Anderson is being held in jail without bond.
