School supply donations needed for local students

A local law enforcement agency is asking the public for school supply donations to help kids in need for the upcoming school year.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who is interested in donating supplies to children in need to drop those supplies off at the sheriff’s Central Operations building, which is located at 2500 W Colonial Drive in Orlando.

Items needed include backpacks, spiral notebooks, colored pencils, crayons, markers, loose-leaf paper, highlighters, glue, and any other supplies that may be relevant.

Items may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and donations will be accepted through the end of July.
