Orlando entrepreneur opens sixth Marco’s Pizza location

A local entrepreneur celebrated the grand opening of his sixth Marco’s Pizza location in the Orlando area last week.

Owned and operated by Sam Sobh, the new Marco’s Pizza restaurant is located at 10226 Curry Ford Road, Suite 108, in Andover Lakes.

Sobh moved to Orlando in 2012 to become a general manager at a Marco’s Pizza location, and eventually purchased his first location in 2014 at the age of 23. He employs over 100 team members across his six locations and works with local high school and college students to provide employment opportunities and work experience to youth.

“The Orlando area is a perfect fit for the growth of Marco’s Pizza and the high-quality, authentic pizza experience we will provide,” said Sobh. “I hope that Marco’s Pizza will be able to bring people together, whether it’s for the big game, a family night, or a pizza party at school, we want to be there for you.”

The menu features a mix of classic and original specialty pizzas, as well as alternative options like cauliflower crust pizza and pizza bowls, which are crustless pizzas baked into bowls.

In addition to pizzas, the restaurants feature a variety of oven-baked subs, wings, salads, and desserts.

Marco’s Pizza was founded in 1978 by Italian-born Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco and is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio. Currently, there are over 1,160 restaurants in operation across the United States.
