Fire tears through Lake Mary home after thunderstorm

Multiple emergency crews were called to a home in Lake Mary after a fire tore through the structure.

On Wednesday, July 19, crews from the Seminole County Fire Department and Lake Mary Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire near Longwood Lake Mary Road and Humphrey Road.

According to authorities, the fire broke out after a severe thunderstorm had passed through the area.

At least a dozen and a half units worked to knock the fire down. After the blaze was taken under control, no injuries were reported.

No additional information was provided by authorities, including the possible cause of the fire.
