Linda’s Winter Park diner closes after 35 years in business

An iconic diner in Winter Park has closed up shop after 35 years in business.

Linda’s Winter Park Diner has officially closed its doors at 1700 West Fairbanks Avenue.

Last month, the restaurant announced that owner and operator Linda D’Auria would retire at the end of July in order to spend time with her grandchildren and travel.

This past March, the diner celebrated 35 years at its location.

“It’s bitter sweet because we love our customers and have been a part of the Winter Park community for the past 35 years,” read a statement issued by the company last mont. “Linda has been an incredible boss and is truly an icon. We are so excited for her to enjoy retirement, travel and her grandchildren. Please come visit before we close towards the end of July. It’s true what they say ‘All good things come to an end.'”

On Sunday, members of the Winter Park Police Department gathered at the diner for one final meal.
