RISE office connecting residents to job training, employment opportunities

A new employment and training program office is now open to the public.

Located at 1221 West Colonial Drive, the new Rapid Increase of Skills and Employment (RISE) Training Program Office opened its doors to the public this week after a ribbon cutting with city officials on Wednesday morning.

The RISE office provides by-appointment, in-person assistance for residents looking for job training and employment opportunities. City officials hope that by furthering residents access to equitable opportunities for job training, coaching, and support services, overall employability will be improved throughout the region.

Through a partnership with CareerSource Central Florida, the program will offer participants connections with the agency’s system of employers, skills training partners, and apprenticeship programs, as well as access to scholarships.

For more information on the program or how to participate, visit the RISE Employment and Training website.

The program is also seeking partner employers to connect with program participants for employment, internships, apprenticeships, on-the-job training and paid work-experience.  Interested employers can visit the Orlando RISE Employer page and fill out a partner employer inquiry form.
