Leslie A. Ward

Leslie A. “Les” Ward, 81, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Leslie was born on April 27, 1941 in Basseterre, St. Kitts to Margaret Caines and George Ward. Leslie was employed as an electrical maintenance worker for several years until he retired.

Leslie was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He raised all of his kids with values and morals. He always taught his children how to be strong and resilient. He was a provider and devoted his life to caring for his beloved family. He was known to his family and friends as ”Mr. Fix-It”, and in his spare time enjoyed cooking and entertaining his family. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Les, as he was affectionately called, is survived by his loving wife, Lena R. Ward; 16 children, Trevor Belle, Useph Belle, Curtis Belle, Brian Ward, Patricia Stapleton, Venareen Hodge, Janice Wilkinson, Avernelle Brown, Sandra Santos, Brenda Ward, Sharon Ward James, Bridgette Ward Lesher, Donna Ward, Candice Ward People, Conniesha Powell; 2 brothers, Godwin Caines, Wendell Caines; sister, Cynthia Caines; 34 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, 11:00 AM at New Life Church of God in Christ, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Rev. Dr. David Harp, Sr., officiating. Interment: Eatonville Memorial Gardens, Eatonville.
