Disney shows sneak peek of new Moana-inspired attraction

Walt Disney World shared a sneak peek of its newest attraction, which is inspired by the film Moana.

This week, the theme park released a brief video of its cast members touring Journey of Water, a new attraction that will open later this year at EPCOT.

“The journey begins soon! This week, Walt Disney World cast members will be among the first groups of voyagers to experience Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana,” reads a statement issued by Disney on social media.

The new attraction will take visitors along a self-guided tour to interact with water as it “travels from the sky to the oceans and back again.”

The are features waterfalls, spouts, and other water formations, some of which may be interacted with by visitors.

Earlier this year, Imagineers announced the addition of Te Fiti, the larger-than-life character that anchors the new attraction.

The attraction is scheduled to open within “World Nature,” a new EPCOT section dedicated to “understanding and preserving the beauty and balance of the natural world.”

No specific opening date has been set, although park officials say the ride will open “soon.”
