Man accused of killing girlfriend outside of Exploria Stadium

A 41-year-old man was arrested after he was found giving CPR to his unconscious girlfriend in front of Exploria Stadium after police determined he had attacked her beforehand.

Orlando Police Department officers responded to the intersection of W Church Street and Parramore Avenue at around 3:20 a.m. on Friday, September 1, after receiving calls regarding a man giving CPR to an unconscious woman.

Upon arrival, police located a female, later identified as 35-year-old Alicia Marie Brown, and transported her to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Brown was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

The man was identified as 41-year-old Charles C. Jenkins. According to police, Jenkins, who was the boyfriend of Brown, had allegedly attacked the victim and rendered her unconscious.

Brown’s death has been ruled a homicide and Jenkins was placed under arrest at the scene for battery (domestic violence), and resisting arrest without violence. Police say they are trying to obtain a first degree homicide arrest warrant in the case.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Orlando Police Department at 321-235-5300, or the Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
