Lawrence Sanford Lazarus

Lawrence (Larry) Sanford Lazarus died peacefully on June 2, 2022. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he resided in Pembroke Pines, FL before moving to Ponte Vedra in 2012 with his wife, Lois. He began his career in data processing in the early 1960’s and worked at many high-profile companies, including Key Pharmaceuticals and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Later in life, he ran his own business servicing the hospitality industry throughout the state of Florida.

He and Lois eventually moved to Ponte Vedra upon retirement, and Larry enjoyed spending time playing golf. He was an avid sports fan, instilling this love of sport in all his kids and grandkids. He was also a voracious reader and a collector of books and coins.

Larry is survived by his wife Lois of Ponte Vedra. He is also survived by his daughters Laura (Dr. Michael) Levine of Livingston, NJ, and Jennifer (Dr. Hary) Katz of Jacksonville. He is survived by four grandchildren: Lindsey and Brooke Levine, and Rebecca and Joshua Katz.

Graveside services will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery on Tuesday, June 7 at 10 a.m. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on June 7, at the home of Jennifer and Dr. Hary Katz.
