Lorraine loved family, after the loss of Klaus in 1965, now a single mother, she raised her young girls to their teenaged years. Lorraine aka Aunt Lolly even helped raise two of her nephews after the loss of their mom. In 1978 she took a chance on love again marrying James Burgess. She welcomed his 4 children Richard Burgess, Arthur Burgess, Diana Gerard, and Viki Fratelli into her heart.

Lorraine loved the water; Klaus worked on tugboats and Jim always had a boat for fishing, skiing, diving, and cruising the Florida waters. Lorraine was a homemaker and supported the family business until Jim retired. Lorraine’s extended family has 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, with more on the way. The nieces, nephews, and cousins are far too many to count but they still get together from all over the US, every chance available.

Life hasn’t always delt Lorraine a fair hand. Tough and determined she, survived twice being widowed. She pushed cancer into remission for more than 8 years. Through it all Lorraine was a great mom, fantastic role model, and a better friend you won’t find. She will be missed ….
