Couple wanted for theft of Xbox at Walmart

A man disguised as a Walmart employee and a woman in a wheelchair are wanted by Sanford police in connection with the theft of an Xbox.

According to the Sanford Police Department, the individuals featured in this story were seen visiting the Walmart located at 3653 S. Orlando Drive on September 30, 2023.

During their visit, the man walked to a locked, video game console display case. The man got a Walmart associate to unlock the display case before he retrieved an Xbox Series X Diablo 4 edition.

The video game console has an approximately value of $559.

After selecting the console, the man walked to the front of the store and waited for a female who was seated in a wheelchair to give him a signal on when to leave inconspicuously. The woman eventually gave the man a signal and he left the store without paying for the console.
