Chinese restaurant fails inspection after dozens of rodent droppings found

A Chinese restaurant near Universal Studios was forced to temporarily close after a health inspector cited the business for 30 health code violations, including the presence of rodent droppings.

Lee Bistro was forced to close its location at 5787 Vineland Road, Suite 110, on Friday, November 3, after failing a health inspection conducted by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

At least eight high-priority violations were cited during the inspection, including the presence of rodent activity. According to the report, the inspector found 12 rodent droppings on a storage rack, 10 more on top of a 5-gallon sauce container, and at least 50 more on the back storage room floor.

In addition, the restaurant was cited for storing raw beef over sauces, raw chicken over cooked ribs, and raw scallops and raw calamari over cooked fried rice.

The restaurant was reinspected the following day and was permitted to reopen, despite at least 13 violations remaining.
