Nina Sue Crowell

Nina Sue Simmons Crowell, age 85, of Pikeville, died June 4th in Orlando, FL.
She was born October 7, 1936 in Kissimmee, FL. A resident of Dayton Mountain since 1993, Nina Sue lived most of her life in Kissimmee, FL. She was a graduate of Florida State University and the University of Central Florida. She taught for 37 years in Florida and Tennessee, was a former member of First United Methodist Churches in Kissimmee, FL and Dayton, TN. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, P.E.O., Silver Spurs Riding Club as well as other philanthropic organizations.


She was preceded in death by her husband J. Robert Crowell. She is survived by Son, John (Susan) Crowell, Daughters Janet (Wayne) Cook and Judi Crowell. Grandchildren Clay (Melissa) Crowell, Lyndsey (Alex) Bell and John (Kalli) Cook. Great Grandchildren Jaxon and Parker Crowell, Morgan Louise Bell, Lyla Belle Cook.


Funeral services for Nina will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chattanooga National Cemetery following the funeral service.
The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, where they will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
