An Emmy and Peabody Award-winning actor and story-teller will bring his traveling Permission to Speak tour to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts this week.
Paul Mecurio will take the stage at the center (445 S Magnolia Avenue) on Friday, December 29, at 7 p.m.
The show features four individuals in television and movies who come together to share stories, jokes, and anecdotes with the audience. Throughout the show, audience members will volunteer to join Mercurio on stage.
According to organizers, the creators of the show have received nearly three dozen Emmys, six Peabodys, and two Grammy Awards.
Mecurio has made appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CBS Sunday Morning, The Tonight Show, HBO, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, or his own Comedy Central TV special.
