Electronic waste and textile recycling at Orlando Festival Park

The city of Orlando is offering residents the opportunity to recycle electronic waste and textiles at the Orlando Festival Park this weekend.

The city will host the event on Saturday, January 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park, which is located at 2911 East Robinson Street.

Accepted electronics include computer monitors, televisions (one per household), telephones, cell phones, telephone systems, fax machines, central office equipment, rechargeable batteries, electronic circuit boards and components, stereo equipment, games, PDA’s, and printers, among others.

Accepted textiles include clothes, shoes, towels, sheets, curtains, and stuffed toys, among other items.

Businesses are welcome to join, but may not include more than a pick-up truck load, according to city officials.
