Woman missing after carjacking at Winter Springs intersection

Update: The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office stated that detectives located the burned remains of the victim’s SUV. A “badly burned” body was found inside the vehicle, and the sheriff’s office stated that DNA and dental records will be needed to make a positive identification.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man suspected of carjacking a woman in Winter Springs on Thursday evening.

Shortly before 6 p.m., a witness recorded a possible carjacking in progress at the intersection of E Lake Drive and Tuskawilla Road in the Winter Springs area, according to the sheriff’s office.

In the video, an armed male suspect was observed pointing a weapon at the victim who was driving a white Dodge Durango (Florida license plate KVFF22). The sheriff’s office stated that the suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic male, and he was wearing a black hoodie, a Halloween mask, and dark clothing.

The male suspect was then observed on the footage entering the victim’s vehicle through the back driver’s side door, according to SCSO.

The victim’s white Dodge Durango has a “For Sale” sign and phone number written in plain view on the back window.

According to SCSO, a second suspect, also believed to be a white or Hispanic male, was traveling in a green Acura sedan with an obscured license plate. The second suspect drove immediately behind the victim’s Durango after the first suspect entered the vehicle.

The victim in this case has been identified as Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas, 31, of Homestead.

If you spot the victim’s Dodge Durango or the Acura sedan driven by the second suspect, do not approach either vehicle. Instead, immediately dial 911.
