Goute Creole closed after 135 roaches found during inspection

A Caribbean restaurant in west Orlando was closed after a health inspector cited over twenty violations, including heavy roach activity.

According to a report filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Goute Creole, which is located at 2615 N Pine Hills Road, was forced to close its doors on Tuesday, July 26, after a health inspector cited 21 food health code violations.

Among the violations were at least four considered high priority, including the presence of roach activity. During an inspection, over 135 roaches were found in various portions of the establishment.

High priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing, according to the FDPBR.

Records show that no additional inspection has been conducted at the restaurant as of Wednesday, August 3.
