Napasorn Thai closes after second, third failed health inspections this year

A Thai restaurant was forced to close its downtown Orlando location for two days last week for failing consecutive health inspections, exactly six months after closing down for another failed inspection.

Napasorn Thai Restaurant, which is located at 56 E Pine Street, was forced to close on August 17 and August 18 after a health inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited at least three dozen health code violations.

During the first inspection on Wednesday, August 17, a total of 24 violations were cited, including 2 considered high priority. Among those violations was the presence of roach activity, as evidenced by at least 14 live roaches and 40 dead roaches found around the kitchen.

Additionally, the health inspector cited rodent activity after finding at least four rodent droppings on top of the dish and ice machines.

The following day, Thursday, August 18, the inspector once again cited the presence of roach activity and kept the restaurant closed. The report indicates that 14 live roaches and at least 18 dead roaches were found throughout the restaurant.

After a third inspection on Friday, August 19 revealed that only nine violations remained, the restaurant was permitted to reopen.

Exactly six months ago, on February 17, Napasorn Thai Restaurant was forced to temporarily close after a health inspector cited 19 violations, including the presence of rodent droppings.
