DeLand Police Department detectives are currently investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a 21-year-old man standing outside of a home.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 508 South Adelle Avenue in DeLand on Monday, September 5, at around 2:35 a.m.
According to authorities, a 21-year-old man was standing outside of the location in question when he was shot by an unknown person traveling in a vehicle.
The man was shot in the lower leg and was transported to a local hospital. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
DeLand Police Department Criminal Investigation Division detectives are actively investigating the incident and no suspect information is available as of yet.
