At least three dozen motorcycle accidents reported during Daytona Bike Week

Local law enforcement officials say that at least three dozen motorcycle accidents were reported during this year’s Bike Week in Daytona.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, approximately 36 accidents were recorded in Brevard, Flagler, and Volusia counties across the 10-day event that began on March 4.

At least 28 of those accidents occurred in Volusia county. Multiple fatalities from crashes involving motorcycles were also reported, including two in Volusia, and one in Flagler.

The accident total might change over the coming days, as troopers have up to 10 days to submit reports, according to FHP.

Daytona Beach Bike Week is a motorcycle event and rally held annually in Daytona Beach during March.
