30-year-old father killed in east Orlando shooting

A 30-year-old father was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place in east Orlando last week.

Trey Scott Kennedy was shot and killed on Thursday, September 8, in a shopping plaza off East Colonial Drive.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 11000 block of East Colonial Drive around 10:14 p.m. on Thursday, after receiving calls regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located Kennedy and another man who had been shot. Kennedy was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The second man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Friends and family members have taken to social media to mourn the loss of Kennedy, who was a father.
