Waffle House closes Kissimmee location for second time after failed health inspection

A Waffle House in Kissimmee was forced to temporarily close its doors for a second time this year after a food health inspector cited multiple violations.

According to a report filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Waffle House #435, which is located at 5991 Irlo Bronson Highway in Kissimmee, was forced to temporarily close on Wednesday, September 7 after a health inspector found at least a half dozen violations.

The report cited two violations considered high priority, including the presence of flying insects in the kitchen, food preparation, and food storage areas. In total, at least least 70 flying insects were seen during the inspector’s visit.

Additionally, dead roaches were found around the premises and some of the foods were not properly labeled with the time markings.

The restaurant was reinspected on the same day and allowed to reopen after the inspector cited two violations.

In January, the same Waffle House location was forced to temporarily close after an inspector cited at least 15 violations.
