After a multi-year hiatus, a popular southern-based fried chicken restaurant has returned to the area.
Bojangles celebrated the grand opening of its newest location in Sanford at 101 S. Oregon Avenue, next to the Seminole Towne Center, on Tuesday, August 30.
The new location opens nearly seven years after all eight Bojangles locations around Central Florida were abruptly closed.
Known for a bevy of southern favorites, Bojangles menu is a simple one, featuring chicken tenders and fried chicken meals served with a variety of freshly made sides (“fixins”). Those include dirty rice, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and cajun pintos, among others.
The Sanford restaurant is not the first to reopen in Central Florida, but the second, joining one other establishment that opened in 2018 in Ocala.
In total, Bojangles currently operates 11 locations throughout the state of Florida. In addition to the Sanford and Ocala locations, the company has restaurants in Gainesville, Orange Park, Tallahassee, St. Augustine, and Jacksonville.
Across the United States, the business operates just under 800 restaurants.
Bojangles’ Sanford location is open seven days a week, starting at 5:30 a.m. every day (6:00 a.m. on Sundays), and closing each day at 10 p.m.
