David Samuel Livingston

David Samuel (Dave) Livingston, 89 of St. Cloud, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. David was born in Geneva, Pennsylvania the son of Earl Bert Livingston and Clara Cordelia Livingston. He lived in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania working with family on the farm until the age of 18 when he joined the US Marine Corp. He served in active combat in the Korean War. His company received battle stars for battles fought at East Berlin and Vegas. He held many positions over his lifetime: farmer, factory worker, Metropolitan police officer of Washington, DC, fire fighter and missionary. He was most proud of his service in the Marine Corp, being a police officer, a Deputy Chief of the Kissimmee Fire Department, and a lay missionary with Good Samaritan Missions. He had a heart for service. He knew no strangers. David retired from the Kissimmee Fire Department and continued to serve in disaster relief efforts in South Florida after Hurricane Andrew and in the Dominican Republic after Hurricane David. At age 64 he began to study the Spanish language and used this knowledge to serve in Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Dave is survived by his wife: LaVonne Jeanne Livingston; his sisters: Marjorie Rawson and Mary Hough of Conneaut Lake, Pa; his sons: David Mark Livingston (Elizabeth) of Sanford, Fl, Gregory D. Livingston (Cheryl Ann) of St. Cloud, Fl, Darren W. Livingston (Lisa) of Kissimmee, Fl; his six grandchildren: Brittany Richmond (Tom) of Greer, SC, Michelle Livingston (Jason Helpren) of St. Cloud, Mn, Trenton Livingston (Courtney) of Utrecht, Netherlands, Trinity Livingston of St. Cloud, Fl, Blake Livingston (Jeri) of Archer, Fl, Brooke Livingston (John Pate) of Plant City, Fl; and his 9 great grandchildren: Aiden, Joanna, and Baylor Richmond of Greer, SC, Aurora Livingston of Utrecht, Netherlands, Kallen, Mary Jo, and Kolbe Livingston of Archer, Fl, Savannah Veith and Summer Pate of Plant City.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bible Baptist Church Kissimmee, FL. A Service to Celebrate the Life of David Samuel (Dave) Livingston will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Bible Baptist Church, 1500 E. Vine Street, Kissimmee, Florida 34744 with Pastor Randy Jackson officiating. Dave will be laid to rest at Mt Peace Cemetery, St. Cloud, Florida following the Service with Full Military Honors accorded by The Osceola County Veterans Council.
