Soodrow Shanti Woodrow

Soodrow Shanti Chandra Woodrow of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away in her home on October 24, 2022, surrounded by her friends and family. Shanti fought breast cancer for over 10 years before finally succumbing to the disease this past week. She was 47 years old.

Shanti was born February 22, 1975, and raised in West Mt. Airy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Central High School (#252) and the University of Delaware and earned her bachelor’s degree in medical technology and her master’s degree in pharmacology from Thomas Jefferson University. Shanti spent most of her career serving others in the healthcare industry. She began as a bench tech in hospital laboratories in Philadelphia including Children’s Hospital and Thomas Jefferson Hospital, and eventually went on to manage multiple clinics for hospital systems in Hawaii.

Shanti was accomplished and successful with a reputation for negotiation and an ability to motivate others. She had a strong desire to give back and help others. She also supported other cancer survivors with their journeys.

Most of all, Shanti loved her family and her extended Hawaii ‘Ohana with the ABC’s, HPH Health Systems and Our Savior in Aiea.

Shanti was predeceased by her father, Nalin Jugran, and survived by her husband, Trevor, two children Mitchel and Maddie, her mother Michele Jones and stepfather Samuel Jones, her sister Rachel Desany, her brother Matthew Jugran, Darnelle Jugran and her stepbrother Samuel Jones III, along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
