Eugene Charles Maloney

Eugene Charles Maloney, age 74, of Orlando, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2022. He is preceded in death by only five months by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Maloney – his pretty lady. They lived a life of faithfulness to the Lord. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Frederick William Maloney and Mary Nell Maloney; his nephew, Steven Miller; and his step-grandson, Justin Porter.

He is survived by his step-sons, William R. (Cheryl) Porter, Jr. and Jason R. Porter, sister, Kathleen Mary (Harry) Miller and family, Kimberly (Gene) Hurst, Fredrick “Fred” (Kler) Miller, and Roy Miller; and many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Eugene graduated high school from Maynard Evans High School in 1966. Eugene is a U.S. Air Force veteran who proudly served during the Vietnam War and received a Meritorious Medal prior to his discharge. He retired after working for Winn Dixie and also Mears. Eugene was affectionately known by some as “Butch” or “Gene” and was a member of the Pine Castle United Methodist Church in Orlando, Florida. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Visitation is Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral service starting at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel), 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, Florida 32792.

Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL.
