Sanford police trying to identify Walmart self-checkout thieves

Sanford Police Department is asking the public for help to identify a man and woman who stole multiple items through the self-checkout lanes at a local Walmart.

On Monday, October 24, the man and woman featured in this story were caught on video surveillance entering the Walmart at 1601 Rinehart Road.

While they were in the store, authorities say the couple selected several items and proceeded to the self-checkout registers. The couple scanned all of the items, placed them back into the cart, and then left the store without rendering payment.
