Victoria M. Bailey

Vickie was born to Rev. Clarence and Espie Butts McKay of Orlando, FL in 1929 and grew up in several southern states as her father pastored Nazarene congregations.
Graduation from Elliot Business School in Shreveport, LA led her into a long career in Civil Service. She flourished as an executive secretary, first to senior Army officers in Europe, then finishing in that capacity for the commanders of both AETC and AFPC, Randolph AFB, TX. Ten of those years took her to Khamis and Taif, Saudi Arabia, serving Northop’s senior in-country managers, after which she coordinated a number of stateside reunions of Peace Hawk employees.

Affiliations included DAR, National Society of Magna Carta Dames, American of Royal Descent, Colonial Dames, and the Red Hat Society. Vickie was a longtime member of First Methodist Church, Kerrville, TX.
Her passions centered on generations of her Doxie-Dogs, entertaining, sewing, and extensive travel, especially global cruises, always with friends. Both parents and beloved husband, Bill G. Bailey preceded her. She is survived by her brother, John Stanley McKay, of Savannah, GA.; two stepdaughters and families in Dallas, two nieces and a stepdaughter in Georgia, and by special friends from across the globe. Vickie never met a stranger.
