Home decor, gift shop opens in Mills 50 District

A new speciality shop selling home decor merchandise and gift shop items has opened in the Mills 50 District.

Gold Dust Home celebrated its grand opening on Friday, November 18 at 1309 Lang Avenue. The business is owned and operated by two sisters, Shelby and Allie Sloan, who both have extensive experience in the real estate industry.

The name of the business is derived from the types of home décor and artwork at the shop, which have gold sprinkled throughout.

The women started the business over five years ago, selling unique goods at The Lovely Boutique in Audubon Park before eventually finding their current space.

Gold Dust Home is filled with a mix of vintage and new furniture, artwork from local artisans and artists, items from local design studios, and other pieces from around the world with a special spotlight on merchandise from Mexico.
