A 45-year-old Orlando man who is wanted on eight counts of rape in the state of Virginia was among ten men arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from teenage boys and girls that were actually undercover officers.
According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, the department’s High Tech Crimes Unit arrested ten men as part of Operation Cyber Knights this week. Among the ten was Harold Wilfred Carver, who is a fugitive of justice out of Washington County in Virginia for eight counts of rape and sexual battery.
During the operation, undercover officers posed as teenage boys and girls and engaged in online conversations with men from across multiple counties in central and north Florida.
Over the course of the operation, officials from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office worked collaboratively with multiple agencies to apprehend the men, whose ages range from 34 to 67 years old.
According to CCSO, despite each man acknowledging the child’s age in conversations, they all sent sexually explicit messages, detailing different sexual activities they hoped to perform with the child.
Carver is being held with no bond.
The other nine men arrested all face a slue of charges and have been given varying bond amounts. Those men are Bruce William Henderson, Christopher Covyaw, Dustin Warlick, Fabricio Oswaldo Aguilar Beccera, Kenneth Hottes, Phillip Simpson, Timothy Brown, Justin Rampe, and Lawrence Neu.
