The Belle Isle Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect who was caught on video attempting to burglarize vehicles.
According to BIPD, on Saturday, August 13, just before 5 a.m., a resident of Windsor Place recorded this video of a man wandering through the community.
In the video, the man is seen checking the door on a vehicle that was locked. The man is suspected of visiting multiple vehicles in the neighborhood in an attempt to break into them and steal valuables.
According to police, the man was unsuccessful because members in the community locked their vehicle doors.
“Hide your valuables and lock your car every night,” reads a statement from BIPD.
