50-year-old man arrested for stalking woman at job, possession of child porn

A 50-year-old man who was arrested in May for stalking a woman at her job, is being charged with 14 counts of possession of child pornography after he was arrested a second time for watching a mother and her children in a parking lot.

Paul Aaron Aleshire was arrested on Monday, October 3, by the Clermont Police Department after an investigation into his actions earlier this year.

In May, Aleshire was arrested after being identified as a suspect who was stalking a woman at her place of work.

Months later, an investigation was launched into a report of a subject who was allegedly watching a mother and her children in a business parking lot. Authorities eventually determined that the subject was Aleshire after he was arrested for a separate incident.

After his arrest, detectives accessed Aleshire’s cell phone and recovered several images related to child pornography.

Aleshire is currently being held at the Lake County Jail on $28,000 bond.

Anyone with any information related to these investigations is asked to contact the Clermont Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 352-394-5488, option 3.
