Police are looking for those responsible for killing a 30-year-old man who was found dead in Pine Castle on Monday night.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 300 block of Fairlane Avenue in Pine Castle in reference to a shooting on Monday, January 30, at around 11:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found Francisco Ismael Mercado suffering from gunshot wounds. Mercado was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Deputies found a second man in his 20s who had also been shot. That man was taken to the hospital and his condition was not provided by police.
