A man riding a bicycle was killed after he was struck by a pickup truck while both were exiting an Orlando highway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on the Victory Way exit on the Osceola Parkway at around 6:36 a.m. on Thursday, February 2.
A 53-year-old man from Hickory, North Carolina was driving a 2020 Toyota Tundra on Osceola Parkway when he took the exit ramp to Victory Way in Orlando.
While the pickup truck was traveling on the exit ramp, it struck a bicyclist who was traveling on the ramp.
The bicyclist was airlifted to the Osceola Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Traffic homicide investigators are working to identify the bicyclist.
The driver and his passenger, a 47-year-old woman from Hickory, North Carolina, were not injured in the crash.
The accident created a temporary roadblock for the ramp to Hollywood Studios and ESPN.
