Porchfest Music Festival returns to Sanford this weekend

The 6th Annual Porchfest Music Festival will return to Historic Downtown Sanford this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 25, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Centennial Park, which is located at 400 S Park Avenue in Sanford.

Over 17 porches and 70 bands will perform during the event, which is family and pet-friendly. The festival begins at 11 a.m., with porch performances scheduled between 12 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. The closer performance will take place from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

In the six years since the festival began, over $80,000 have been raised to benefit the arts in Seminole County.

All attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to sit on. Parking is available at different lots around the area and a trolley will be in operation. Thirteen different food vendors will also be on scene.

Alcohol is prohibited and open container law will be enforced by Sanford Police Department, according to event organizers.

For more information on the event, or to make a donation, visit the Sanford Porchfest website.
