A Kissimmee restaurant serving Asian fusion cuisine was forced to temporarily close its doors after a health inspector cited dozens of violations, including the presence of roaches.
Manila Grill Asian Fusion, located at 7688 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, was forced to close its doors on Tuesday, March 14, after an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited at least 26 health code violations.
Among the violations was the presence of roach activity as evidenced by at least 10 live roaches found in various traps around the restaurant. Additionally, some of the food was not being held at appropriate minimum temperatures, including pork belly and cooked rice.
The business was permitted to reopen on Wednesday, March 15, despite two dozen violations remaining.
